Medical Marijuana Caregivers Association of El Dorado County (MMCA) incorporated in January, 2004, as a nonprofit corporation to provide medical marijuana to qualified patients according to the guidance of California Senate Bill 420 which was intended to clarify implementation of Proposition 215. As a collective, MMCA provided the full spectrum of medical cannabis products through in-house production along with help and advice for the medical needs of our members. Most importantly as a collective, MMCA offers a safe and secure venue for our members to associate with other patients.

MMCA founded

With the passage of Proposition 64, Adult Use Marijuana Act of 2016, our patients can no longer freely associate onsite and due to compliance with the new licensing requirements of the Bureau of Cannabis Control. MMCA has had to step back from producing products in-house and offer a cultivated selection of compliant products.

In November 2016, El Dorado County voters approved moving forward with full adult recreational cultivation and retail sales.

In January 2018, MMCA was Licensed through the State of California Department of Cannabis Control.

Pending our El Dorado County Planning Commission meeting on January 26th at 8:30am, MMCA will move forward with adult recreational usage.

Now celebrating our 20th year of operation, MMCA continues to seek it’s return to full capacity as a local source for quality crafted cannabis products.
